Angels Season Up in Smoke

eliminated from the playoffs.

Rex Hudler suspended for having POT in his suitcase:
Rex, what were you thinking?
I know you must need to take or drink something that numbs your
senses when you have to work with Steve Physioc.
But since 9/11 they search everything at airports so try "Vodka"
when you travel. I think Physioc must be smoking something when he broadcasts a game. He is the master of the obvious
and contributes nothing but stupid comments.
He should become a kinder garden teacher or better yet the replacement for "Mr.
Rogers". |
Troy Percival practices during a game:
What is it with Troy in non-save situations?
We didn't watch the game to see him experiment, we want to see him strike people out,
not walk the bases loaded and then see the third out recorded on a 400' fly ball to straight away center field.
Practice on your own time Troy, we want to see wins, not watch you give a way a good pitching
or good offensive performance while you try some new delivery, that is very selfish.

| GOOD THINGS |
| Gil is gone!
Benji Gil, although a strong hitter last year, was a defensive liability ever since he joined the Angels.
Gil has the worst fielding basics I have ever seen at the major league level and with his hitting below the Mendoza line.
It is better to see Adam Riggs get a chance to play then suffer watching Gil misplay routine ground balls and pop ups.
| Chone Figgins
Not much to say, only Chone Figgins ability to play almost any position.
He can bat lead off and still continue to hit over .300.
Angel Rookies: Figgins, DaVanon and Quinlan are exciting and fun to watch.
Also, Moreno's commitment to spend money in the off-season, gives me something
to get excited about for next year.
